I'm ending this blog here. I had a good time writing to you. I am saving the latest posts so that there's at least something for you to read. I might come back with another blog, with higher values and a changed style of writing.

Open up your mind and close your eyes. Imagine that you're in love with someone. You're truly and deeply in love. You want "to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part." You want to say the magic words "I do".

You propose to your significant other, who says yes. You start planning your wedding, you're as happy as can be and feel like nothing could harm you or spoil your happiness. Then you go to a church and talk to a priest. The priest raises his voice and condemns you and your loved-one to hell. You run away crying and swearing that you will never again enter a church, cursing god and the priest and everyone who belong to a church.

For the sake of marriage equality, please share this video. Let's end marriage discrimination.

...Christmas! Yesterday I ate my first traditional Christmas star tart, with plum jam and icing sugar. The day before I tasted Café Lauri's Christmas cake: cheesecake flavored with lingonberries and mulled wine. Today I had rice porridge with cinnamon-sugar. I can taste that Christmas is coming soon!

I've already thought about presents; preferably I will make them myself but jewelleries I'd better buy. ;) This is the first Christmas I'm actually going to spend a considerable amount of time and money for getting the Christmas presents to my loved-ones. It's going to be so fun, I love giving presents. :D Especially if I have made them myself.

I thought of sharing some ideas for Christmas presents.

Find out what your friend really needs; it's boring and even annoying to get unnecessary items like a nose hair trimmer collecting dust in your home
Plan your budget (per person, altogether...) and stick to it
If you are skilled enough, try to make something yourself; your friend will appreciate the present more if you've spent some time making it
Wrap it nicely
Surprise your friend; for example, put an elf hat on, hide somewhere, jump and shout "HAPPY CHRISTMAS!" Just don't cause a heart-attack...
Remember that a present doesn't have to be material; give a massage, cook a gourmet meal or take your friend to a concert

No preaching this time! :D I'm a fan of The Amazing Atheist on Youtube. I love how he brings up the moronity of people and makes fun of them.

The following video is about sexism, how women are allowed to do it but men aren't. I'm certainly not a feminist, but there are certain ideas in feminism that I agree with. I support gender equality, although I dislike the fact that people over-emphasize women's rights. I understand if they're talking about Middle-Eastern culture but here in the Western World, it's unnecessary.

The next video is about homosexuality. You should know that I loathe homophobic people of which many happen to be - surprise! - fundamentalists. In this video TJ comments another user's video that claims that homosexuality is unnatural. TJ compares the unnaturality of the existence of a god to the unnaturality of homosexuality: "Another problem that I have with this idea that god exists outside of nature is that it's not falsifiable."

Sorry for being quiet. Studying eats up most of my time.... Anyway, today I had my English exam and it went okay. I wrote an essay about human's right to exploit other species. I have lots of strong opinions to this topic so I would like to share my essay with you. It is a bit on the preaching side, but don't let that bother you. :)

Licensed to kill?

Is it even necessary to say that we are not James Bonds? Let me give you an example for you that is easy to grasp: There is a retarded but happy child. The child lives in the bliss of not knowing that he is a burdain to his parents because they have to organize special treatments and education to help the child adapt to the society. Should the child just be terminated, liquified, deleted, sentenced to death, killed?

Think of animals as retarded kids if it helps you to realize that it is not right nor justified for humans to kill or exploit other species. Even though you had the biggest brain in the world, the police won't give you a licence to kill.

Humans are lucky to have developed such an amazing brain capacity. This asset should not be used for abusing others. However, most people haven't yet become intelligent enough to utilize their intelligence for smart tasks.

These smart tasks are called practising moral wisdom, moderation, sympathy and, in the world of climate change, sustainable development. Therefore, let those animals be! Do not harrass them but don't feel obliged to save every species from extinction. Mother nature takes care of her children and if it's time for one to become extinct, then so be it. Please, use your brain.

...was wonderful, unique and unforgettable. I want to thank my dear friends for spending the Sunday with me.

I am unnaturally happy and have the excitement that I haven't had within me for a long, long time. I can sense that I am going to experience more wonderful things in the near future. Most probably in my love life. Just wait and see. ;)

Fuck me, I'm oily!

irokoo's fashion show was awesome >D

Saturday was great. I went to a fashion show (I have never been to one) and its theme was all about ecology, including the food served during the intermissions. My sister was modelling for irokoo and she did an amazing job. ^^ I took some incredible pictures and will upload them in a week. I'll post the best ones in the blog, too. :)

This morning I spent with my sister in Turku, searching for a café to have breakfast. I had spinach-goat cheese-pie with a cup of coffee and a Norwegian donut because I "needed" something sweet. I'm a bit sad for having to go back home so early, I had to take the eleven o'clock bus. Hmm, I also left my cell phone to Café Qwensel and forgot to take my backpack that my sister was carrying for me. Well, I will get them this week. And next time in Turku I'll reserve enough time to go for a vegan brunch!

Next week I'll be suffering from the exam week. Well, fortunately I don't have any difficult subjects. Last Friday I had Swedish and the exam went terrificly! I thought it was so easy. :) On Monday I will have psychology, Tuesday human biology, Wednesday revision biology course, Thursday mathematics and Friday English. Not too bad.

Now, I'll have to study some psychology and this evening I shall go for a long walk and maybe call a friend during the walk. Just enjoying the Sunday.

I caught a cold exactly two weeks ago and now I'm fully recovered. Feels good, man.

I went swimming today with mom and had a mint-chocolate-candy-soft-ice-cream. (Damn, isn't there any shorter word for karkkijäätelö?? edit: eherm, how bout just candy ice cream...) Cute kids there and a lovely therapy pool with awesome fountain-whirlpools.

Now I'm enjoying the darkening evenings that remind me of the coming winter... I love walking in the chilly dark. Some people don't understand it. Something in the night just fascinates me. Maybe it's the serenity. Or the feeling you're all alone in peace and quiet. Or the beauty.

I want to go and grab my iPod with me into the dark. That'd be later...

9/11 World Trade Center victims in memoriam

Today it's been ten years of the tragic terrorist attack. Thousands of relatives and close friends were struck by grief, anger and a feeling of injustice. It's hard to find words of comfort in a situation as horrible as this. In one song they sing "I want to reconcile the violence in your heart", which suits the atmosphere of the day when taken out of its context.

I don't know what to say. I was so little when it happened, I think I didn't fully understand it until years later. I have seen many documentaries of that day and they are all equally depressing. I've seen the movie Remember Me and I cried in the end.

You can't kill evil. You can't suffocate nor smother it. There's nothing left to do but to live and hope for the best.
